St. Patrick Catholic Church Wedding
I know Hillary and her family, The Skinners, from church. They are like family to me..... well, they are family to me. When people I love ask me to shoot their weddings it gives me all the warm feelings. And when I see these people quite a few months after they ask me to shoot their wedding and then I find out they are moving the wedding up a few months because God has blessed them with a baby that will be due near their wedding date I have to remember that sometimes God has plans extraordinarily different from ours.
The Skinners are a pretty special family. Papa Skinner is in the military and just recently came home from one of his many deployments overseas. Sister Skinner, Abbi, is very active in FFA and Ohio Military Kids. Hillary is a preschool teacher (Lord, bless her!) and Mama Skinner works with high school kids (Lord... bless her doubly). And they make everyone feel like family.
I was so incredibly happy I was available on the new date because I didn't want to miss this intimate family fiesta....that just happened to be on Cinco de Mayo! Because you know that means TACO BAR!!
Hillary getting ready at her Grandma's house was so special... incorporating all those special family moments and places and things just cannot be replicated at a wedding venue...the little house where Hillary had tea parties as a little girl, her Grandpa's bird house that we borrowed a little egg from, the windows in Grandma Jill's bedroom that made absolutely perfect light. Everything about this day was beautiful and intimate and special and I'm so thankful I got to be there <3
Congratulations Hillary and Caleb!!!! I cannot WAIT to meet baby girl Conrad!!
